Sir Night was a mysterious man who worked both in the Undercity and in topside Temma. He first met the player characters in the Wandering Market.
He gave them the Black Whistle, which allowed them to cross the second veil that one time. He put his life in a bottle.
He died in one of the Saboteur's traps.
